Environmental Tests
Competence in conducting tests with sand and dust on large test specimens
Technical products are exposed to a variety of environmental conditions at their operation sites. This also means contamination with dust of different particle sizes, chemical compositions and concentrations, which makes contact with a component at different flow velocities. We examine whether technical components are able to withstand these stresses and whether their functionalities remain unaffected.
We are competent in conducting sand and dust tests on large test specimens (> 1000 mm x 500 mm x 500 mm). We determine
- the IP Codes of enclosures (protection against penetration of foreign matter and dust)
- the resistance of optical or photonic instruments and components to environmental dusts
- the resistance to dust of all products in the above-mentioned size class according to customer specifications
Depending on your demands and the respective standards to be considered, the test conditions may be varied across a broad range:
- Type of dust and dust concentration
- Relative humidity
- Velocity of approach
