Testing and Certification of dust-collecting machines for the separation of hazardous substances or for air purification of dusty hazardous substances
Dust surrounds us everywhere. High levels and certain types of dust pose a health risk and can trigger the formation of tumours or chronic inflammation in the lungs, among other things.
In order to minimise dust pollution at workplaces, dust removal equipment (dust collectors) such as industrial hoovers or dust extractors are used. The range of dust collectors extends from special vacuum cleaners for asbestos removal to mobile compressed air vacuum cleaners for quick use in the factory to stationary dust extractors, e.g. on production lines.
Industrial production can generate toxic or respirable dusts, which is why the requirements for such appliances are very high compared to household appliances. Safe use of the appliances and reliable dust separation performance are essential.
DMT in co-operation with Nemko
Thanks to our co-operation with our partner Nemko GmbH, we can offer you device certification for the complete IEC 60335-2-69 standard!
As a DAkkS-accredited independent laboratory, DMT tests the performance of industrial hoovers in accordance with IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA. The accredited safety and EMC laboratory at Nemko GmbH also tests the electrical safety of industrial hoovers.
Our co-operation package at a glance:
- Dust tests in accordance with Annex AA to confirm dust classes L, M or H
- Testing of the additional requirements in accordance with Annex 7 of the German TRGS 519 for industrial hoovers and dust extractors for vacuuming up materials containing asbestos
- Safety tests in accordance with IEC 60335-2-69
- EMC tests
You will be accompanied and supported by our partner Nemko throughout the entire project management, including the application and communication process, the collection of the necessary documents and the follow-up in various phases of the certification process.
Additional examination services of the DMT
We do our best to guarantee you a fast and transparent service. We also inspect and certify existing stationary systems and, if required, offer workplace measurements to check the effectiveness of the protective measures.
We also offer tests for other types of dust-removing machines, such as air cleaners for asbestos removal or construction sites, as well as for extraction systems for woodworking machines (EN 16770). We can also determine the dust emissions of dust-generating machines for you or the efficiency of extraction using industrial hoovers or dust extractors in accordance with EN 50632 (VDE 0740-632; Motorized power tools - Dust measurement method).
