Non-destructive and Destructive Testing
In the accredited DMT testing laboratory for non-destructive and destructive testing (rope testing) we assess and evaluate individual products and components made of metallic and non-metallic materials.
In the field of destructive component testing, we determine mechanical-technological characteristics of components.
Our testing facilities can apply static tensile forces up to 20 MN and allow installation lengths of up to 26 m. Dynamic tests are possible up to 5,500 kN pulling force.
In destructive testing we use the following test methods:
- Ultrasonic testing (UT)
- Magnetic particle testing (MT)
- Penetration testing (PT)
- Magneto-inductive testing(MIP)
- Visual testing (VT)
For testing ropes and conveyor belts, we rely on our self-developed test equipment. A tradition that has continuously led to further development of these test devices since the 1930s and is constantly being continued.
