Tests on supervised Installations

Before commissioning for the first time and after verifiable changes, installations in potentially explosive atmospheres shall be tested in accordance with § 15 in conjunction with Annex 2, Section 3, No. 4.1 Operational Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV). The test before commissioning or before re-commissioning after verifiable modifications is a holistic examination of the explosion protection based on the explosion protection document, which includes both an inspection of the documentation and a system test for a safe condition.

Also recurring at least every six years, installations in explosive atmospheres shall be tested for explosion safety in accordance with section 16 in conjunction with Annex 2, Section 3, No. 5.1. The scope of testing is essentially based on the test before commissioning.

In addition, "devices, protective systems, safety, control and regulating devices as defined in Directive 2014/34 / EU and their connecting elements shall be inspected every year at least every three years, ventilation, gas warning and inerting devices ,

We check the existing explosion protection document for plausibility and regularity, as well as the implementation of the explosion protection document in the installation.

In cooperation with experts for special topics, Eg lightning protection, devices and protective systems, PLT protection devices, gas warning devices etc. from the TÜV NORD Group or from external specialist companies, we also coordinate the overall test according to No. 4.1 or 5.1 BetrSichV.
